Happy 82nd Birthday 🎂 🎉🍾♥️ to Ticia Bernuth Agri, born September 16, 1944 in Manhattan, New York, United States.

In May of 1969, Ticia joined the production team as Assistant to Michael Lang, playing a key role in the success of Woodstock festival.

In the aftermath of Woodstock festival, Ticia worked on festivals in Atlanta, Puerto Rico and the Isle of Wight, before setting down in a home near the village of Woodstock in upstate New York. She currently lives in Maine.

Happy Birthday 🎁🎊🎂🎈🎉 to Ticia Bernuth Agri who worked closely with Michael Lang as his production assistant at Woodstock.

In 2009, Ticia was portrayed by actress Mamie Gummer in the Ang Lee film Taking Woodstock, which was released to coincide with the 40th Anniversary of the Festival.

She has returned to Bethel often in recent years to participate in Woodstock reunions at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.

Currently, Ticia divides her time between her home in mid-coast Maine and visits to her friends and family in the U.S. and abroad.

Samuel Pack Elliot and Katherine Juliet Ross.

Their love story dates back to the late 1960s, when Ross starred in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and Elliott had a small background role. While he admired her from afar on set, they didn't truly connect for another decade when they both appeared in 1978's The Legacy. When Ross split from her then-husband shortly after, Elliott made his move — and the pair have been together ever since.

The couple got married in 1984 and welcomed their daughter, Cleo Rose Elliott, just a few months later. Since then, Elliott and Ross have continued to work together, both on-screen and behind the scenes. Looking back at their relationship, the A Star is Born actor says that they have both always put in the work it takes to keep their marriage successful.

Katharine Juliet Ross (born January 29, 1940) is an American actress on film, stage, and television. Her accolades include an Academy Award nomination, a BAFTA Award, and two Golden Globe Awards. Ross was cast as Elaine Robinson in Mike Nichols' comedy-drama The Graduate (1967), which saw her receive significant critical acclaim, including an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress, a BAFTA nomination, and Golden Globe win for New Star of the Year.

Samuel Pack Elliott (born August 9, 1944) is an American actor with a career spanning over five decades of film and television. He is recognized for his deep sonorous voice. Elliott has received various accolades, including a Screen Actors Guild Award and a National Board of Review Award, in addition to nominations for an Academy Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards.

Elliott married actress Katharine Ross in 1984, becoming her fifth husband. They have a daughter, Cleo, who is a musician in Malibu, California. Ross and Elliott live on a seaside ranch in Malibu, which they purchased in the 1970s.

Walter Becker and bandmate Donald Fagan enjoyed skewering LA and its canyon bands. Unlike most of the other canyon denizens, who reveled in the canyon culture, Becker & Fagen were strictly east coast and at best tolerated their stay, which they truncated with joy once they had squeezed LA for what they came for. In 1981 Walter headed to Hawaii, and Donald headed back to NY.

“For subject matter LA was certainly a lot of laughs, as it has been for many a satirist,” Fagen is quoted as saying in the book “Hotel California” by Barney Hoskyns. “Neither of us really liked it, because we just weren’t LA-type people. Nobody seemed to understand us there.” Becker agreed adding, “To say that we were on the fringes of the scene would be to exaggerate our closeness to it. We had our own little private rolling bubble that insulated us from the canyon cowboy thing.”

Jennifer Connelly in Dennis Hopper's vastly underrated neo-noir masterpiece The Hot Spot. Starring Don Johnson (one of his best roles) and a great ensemble cast, not least of all the equally gorgeous Virginia Madsen. And perhaps one of the the best soundtracks of ANY movie.

September 15, 1970
VP Spiro Agnew: Rock Music Destroying America’s Youth!

Vice President Spiro Agnew charged on this day that American youth were being destroyed by rock music, the drug culture, and underground newspapers.

Moralists and political conservatives had been attacking and attempting to censor rock and roll since the 1950s and before that, in the 1920s and 1930s, jazz was seen as an equally corrupting influence on American youth.

As Vice President, Agnew was most famous for his vitriolic attacks on critics of President Richard Nixon’s Vietnam War policy. One of his most famous attacks was a speech, on November 13, 1969, attacking the news media as “impudent snobs” for what the administration saw as their bias on the issue of the Vietnam War.

Agnew was implicated in a corruption scandal and resigned as Vice President in October 1973.

The idea that rock and roll would corrupt the morals of America’s youth had a long history. The years 1954–55 were the high point of moralistic public reaction to this new thing called “rock and roll.”
