Luminar Neo won Rad Drew over in the early days of Luminar for all the things it can do. And, it’s easy to use, works on Windows and Mac operating systems, and also works as a plugin to Photoshop and Lightroom. It offers an alternative to more complicated tools (like Photoshop) with its tremendous power and capabilities but with a less steep learning curve. In this presentation Rad will work within Luminar Neo to share his workflow for editing raw files as well as share some of Neo's useful, practical features like removing dust spots with a single click, and stitching vertical and horizontal panoramas. He will share Neo's AI-assisted sharpening, upscaling, and noise reduction tools that make fine tuning images quick and easy. And show how to use the Magic Light feature to create and manipulate studio lighting effects for your images.

Travel photography is deceptively difficult. It is not enough to be at a colorful festival, have an interesting subject, or marvel at the wonders of Iceland or Namibia. The challenge is making an interesting image of a riveting or even an ordinary subject; an image that emanates emotion and wonder, releasing your inner artist. With a camera you are not just documenting the world, you are interpreting it. An image happens in the mind first, not the camera.

In this presentation Nevada will dissect what it means to “see photographically.” How to convert “looking” to acutely “seeing” the creative potential in front of you, and then how to translate it into a compelling photograph. Learn the limitations and advantages of your sensor, camera settings, and lens choice, and how to evaluate the light and shadows, color and form. Join Nevada to journey on the path to seeing photographically in your travels and personal projects.

Nevada Wier is a photographer specializing in documenting the remote corners and cultures of the world. She is recognized for her creative and intimate approach to people, as well as her intriguing infrared images. Photography is a personal artform. A person's images should speak more about a person than can be described in words and those images should evoke what a person feels on the inside about our world. "The Earth and its landscapes deserve our respect and admiration. Their stature and prominence overwhelm and amaze me." In this presentation Mitch Dobrowner will discuss the usage of light, its different light waves and shadows.... and experimenting with surreal abstract forms.

At the age of 18, after doing some research and seeing the images of Minor White and Ansel Adams, Mitch Dobrowner quickly became addicted to photography. He left home at 21, quitting his job, leaving his friends and family to see the American Southwest for himself. In California Mitch eventually met his wife, and together they had three children and created their own design studio - and the tasks of running a business and raising a family took priority to photography. During that time (20 years), he stopped taking pictures. In early 2005, inspired by his wife, children and friends - Mitch again picked up his cameras. He's been on a mission since then to create images that help evoke how I he sees our amazing planet.

Mitch owes much to the great photographers of the past, especially Ansel Adams, for their dedication to the craft and for inspiring me in my late teens. Though he has never met them, their inspiration helped him determine the course his life would take. Mitch lives with his wife Wendy, son Joshua, dog Jet and brat cat Jax in their homes in Los Angeles and Lone Pine, California.
