Love the Beartooth Pass. Such an amazing part of Montana and Wyoming. If you have never driven it, I highly recommend putting it on your bucket list. Opening day was 5/22. I usually try to get up over it within the first week. Snowfall this year was really low. Still an awesome drive! Photos to come soon 😊

Montana rocks and minerals have quickly become a new obsession of mine thanks to ! More recently, I had the opportunity to hit the river with . Yesterday, I headed out to a new spot and chose NOT to bring my camera (a choice that I regretted about 1 hour in to the drive) 🤦🏻‍♀️ It was a great day on the river collecting some beautiful Montana treasures. It was the perfect Montana day! Mild temp, light breeze, lighting and colors were so vibrant. To top it off, I was the only one around! Although difficult, I was able to peel my eyes off of the cobble below my feet, pull out my cell phone and take some photos. On cloudy days like this, I just love B&W captures due to the lighting, BUT… the colors photos (to be posted soon) will knock your socks off. I am planning my return with my camera gear to capture this piece of Montana heaven properly!

Today I was nominated by Iron Roots Photography to participate in this challenge.

My head, like most photographers, is on a swivel when driving. A split second can be hit or miss. This day, it was a hit! I spotted this old homestead in a field about 150 yards off the road. I ultimately found the owner of the property and obtained permission to photograph this structure. So, a short drive down the dirt road, through the corn fields, past the farm equipment, I arrived. I was informed by the family upon returning to provide them with a print of this photo, that Calamity Jane had been a guest in this home on more than one occasion. How cool is that?
