Welcome to my photography page! I'm a passionate 25-year-old photographer based in Billings, MT, with a deep love for capturing the world through my lens.

Braeden Roesler is a Billings, MT photographer who loves exploring nature's beauty of Wildlife and Landscapes in Montana and Yellowstone/Grand Teton Parks, in addition to sports in Billings and Bozeman. While studying Photography at Montana State University in Bozeman, I dedicated 3 years to honing my craft before life led me on a different path for a while and I had to leave photography on the ba

ckburner. In 2019, I faced a heartbreaking loss when my biggest photography advocate, my mother, passed away from Cancer. Her passing eventually reignited my passion and motivation to pursue my dreams in photography and make her proud. Now, I am determined to fulfill my creative aspirations and showcase my unique perspective through my work. My photographic interests are diverse, ranging from Wildlife, Sports, Nature, Landscapes, and Night Scenes to Photojournalism and Real Estate. I find joy in exploring various subjects and pushing the boundaries of my creativity and capturing and sharing unique and beautiful moments. I work primarily with Nikon digital cameras, but I also have a soft spot for the artistry of analog film photography, experimenting with different cameras from my collection. During my time in Bozeman, I had the incredible opportunity to work for the MSU Exponent school newspaper, where I captured the spirit of campus sports and events through my photographs. Additionally, I was involved in the School of Film & Photography, where I assisted in managing film and photography equipment and facilities for students and faculty. It was a rewarding experience that allowed me to foster my passion and support others in their creative journeys. My work has been featured in esteemed publications such as the Billings Gazette, the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, Q2 (KTVQ) News, KBZK News, Casper Star-Tribune, Billboard, and numerous other newspapers and online blogs across the region and country. I'm also proud to have been awarded first prize in the Scenic Category of the 2020 Wyoming Photo Contest. Through my photography, I strive to capture the essence of the world around us and share meaningful stories. Every image I create is infused with the spirit of my mother's memory, serving as a constant reminder of the impact photography can have on our lives. The majestic grizzly bear “Snow” photographed in the dim light of early morning while being courted by a boar known as "Two Dot". (6/4/2026)

Near-dark early morning moments like this, with hardly any other people around and intimate moments with these animals, makes me thankful for my f2.8 telephoto lens and the low-light capabilities of cameras these days.

Yesterday on Beartooth Pass, the cool, windy morning and sunny cloudy day, turned to snow in the evening, falling while patches of sunlight still broke through the clouds and lit up the wildflowers.

All around the mountainsides, the mountain goat kids were still busy being kids, climbing on their mothers' backs, playing with each other, and stopping to drink from the mountain streams.

Blessed to spend time amongst this beauty every summer. Tons more images to come!

A red fox meanders through the grass right at Yellowstone’s Entrance on it's way to hunt, offering a great welcome to the park on Memorial Day.

One of those wildlife moments that happens in an instant.

As I watched this sub-adult grizzly bear feeding along The Beartooth Highway earlier this month, a truck rushed by on the roadway without slowing down. The bear immediately stood upright in a flash to investigate the sound, panning along to follow the truck until it rounded the next bend, before returning to its normal routine grazing.

A brief moment of curiosity, only a few split seconds that would've been easy to miss, that resulted in one of my favorite images from that morning.

A quiet moment between some of Yellowstone's more recently recognizable and popular grizzlies

Snow (right) and #288 "Quill" (left) spent several days courting together along the Yellowstone Lake shoreline earlier last month while I was in the park.

They were in a perfect spot, surrounded by a winding creek in a small, flat meadow near the lake and road.

Here is a tender moment between the two of them. I have so many more moments and images I can't wait to share.

Beautiful sub-adult grizzly peering out after re-adjusting his position while taking a much needed midday nap. Not 5 seconds later, his head dropped back down for some more Zzz's.

If you follow my posts, I also photographed this same bear with it's sibling and sow mother in the same area of The Beartooth Highway exactly a year ago. It was cool seeing it again while driving home this Thursday from the park. Just another reason Beartooth Pass is one of my favorite drives - whether it's your destination or you're just passing through - it always has something to offer.

Pika in the Beartooths

Driving into the park this Sunday over the pass, the rainy day turned to snow at the top, but that didn't stop the wildlife from being out. I managed to get a whopping 3 images fired off before this guy disappeared off into the rocks further down - by which time the snow suddenly started dumping heavy wet snow and it was time to retreat back to the car.

Thankfully, he posed majestically amongst the snowflakes and I couldn't wait to get this image posted.
