The most beautiful stories are the ones we don't have to tell, they just happen. During this Mother’s Day lifestyle shoot, we leaned away from the traditional and into the real. I watched for the subtle shifts in energy: the way a hand finds hers for comfort or the shared glances that speak volumes. It’s an honor to witness and document the honest, raw connection that makes motherhood what it is.

There is a specific kind of shift that happens when the camera stops being a 'guest' and just becomes a fly on the wall. I love capturing the raw emotions in relationships, the kind that only comes out when people truly feel at ease.

I spent the morning with these three and a massive stack of books, and it didn’t take long for the camera to become an afterthought.

My goal is always to make people feel comfortable enough to actually get lost in their own world. That’s usually when the ‘camera face’ disappears and the real personality of the group finally comes out.

When you stop performing for the lens and just start being, that’s when we find the photos you’ll want to keep forever. 📚🌲

Most people tell me the same thing before their session:”I’m not great in front of the camera.”
The truth is… almost everyone feels that way at first.
But a good headshot session isn’t about forcing a pose or creating something stiff. It’s about taking a little time, relaxing, having a conversation, and letting your real personality show up.
Some smiles start a little shy. Some take a few minutes to warm up. But by the end, people almost always say the same thing: “That was actually fun.”
And that’s when the best photos happen.
Whether you need a new LinkedIn photo, a business headshot, or branding images that represent who you are, my goal is simple: capture the real you at your best.

Hi friends 🤍 I’ve had so many new faces here lately, so I wanted to properly introduce myself!

I’m Margo, the face behind Margo Rose Photography.

I’ve always been creative. I grew up second shooting with my dad, and I’m actually a third-generation photographer in my family. What started as tagging along and learning from him has grown into a true passion of my own.

I specialize in portraits and events, from high school and college graduates, to couples, weddings, pageants, and professionals. My goal is always the same: to deliver high-quality, professional images that you’ll be proud to share and cherish for years to come.

A few fun things about me:
• I’ve always been more introverted, but when I’m behind the camera, it’s like the anxiety melts away�• I competed at the world competition for archery 🎯
• I co-advise student council at the school district I work for

Photography gives me the chance to connect with people in such a genuine way, and I’m so grateful I get to do this.
