May is quickly coming to a close—and so is the Horses for Mental Health Campaign! 💕🐴

As many of you know, I’ve been serving as an Ambassador this month to support my close friend, Tamitha, and her incredible team at Double Hearts Ranch. We are down to the final few days of the campaign, and we need your help to finish strong!

Having spent time at the ranch capturing its spirit through my camera lens, I’ve seen the dedication that goes into building this sanctuary. The horses and donkeys there help create moments of trust, peace, and connection every single day.

Every donation made directly supports life-changing, ground-based experiences for children, veterans, families, and individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, and grief.

Even a small donation makes a BIG impact. If just a portion of my friends and family here gave $5, it would get us significantly closer to crossing the finish line. 100% of your donation goes directly to the facility to provide:

✨ Scholarships for participants who couldn't otherwise afford services
✨ Herd care, feed, and wellness for the therapy animals
✨ Program supplies and safe spaces for healing and growth

Please consider donating before May ends to help us finish strong. If you are unable to donate, simply sharing this post is an incredibly meaningful way to support the mission!

🐴 As we head into May for Mental Health Awareness Month, I am kicking things off by sharing a project very close to my heart and my lens: Double Hearts Ranch.

I am thrilled to announce that the ranch was hand-selected for the Horses for Mental Health 2026 Campaign. Only a few nonprofits worldwide are chosen each year: a huge testament to Tamitha’s world-class standards of care! I have documented the healing at this sanctuary firsthand, and as an Ambassador, I am inviting you to join me in supporting their mission.

100% of your donation goes directly to the ranch. So, let’s start this month by making a difference - one hoofbeat, one heart, one story at a time. 🐴

As one year ends and a new one begins, this post marks the beginning of a journey toward movement, courage, and forward momentum. Over the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing equine-inspired reflections to help us prepare for the powerful Year of the Fire Horse ahead.

📷 🌅 Well, it’s been a stretch since I’ve been able to post. Hope to jump back in the saddle again soon. But, as we step into 2026, I just want to say thank you.

Thank you to everyone who supported my photography this past year. Whether you followed along, liked or shared a photo, left a kind comment, encouraged me behind the scenes, or trusted me to capture images of what is meaningful to you. None of it went unnoticed, and all of it mattered more than you know.

Photography has always been a way for me to slow down, notice the quiet moments, and find beauty in the in-between. Having your support along the way has made the journey even more meaningful.

My wish for all of you that are now connected to me through this passion of mine a new year filled with light, peace, and moments worth remembering. May 2026 bring fresh beginnings, steady hope, and scenes that remind you to pause and breathe.

Here’s to another year of seeing the beauty around us: together. 📷 🌅

📸Hello, friends! Apologies for the slight break in action...life has been a bit hectic! Let's get back into it, and talk about photographing landmarks from unique angles to give a fresh perspective.

1. Uncommon Angles: Shoot from above or below.
2. Close-Ups: Focus on architectural details.
3. Contextual Shots: Include surroundings for scale.

Experimenting with different angles, details, and contexts can transform your landmark photography into something truly unique and captivating. First, break free from the ordinary by experimenting with angles. Instead of shooting a landmark straight on, lie down and photograph it from below to emphasize its height and grandeur. Alternatively, find a higher vantage point — like a nearby hill or building — to capture a bird’s-eye view. These uncommon angles can reveal new aspects of familiar landmarks that most people don’t get to see.

Then, try to find the beauty of a landmark that lies in its intricate details. Get up close and personal with your subject. Zoom in on carvings, textures, and patterns that might be missed in a wide shot. Highlighting these details can give viewers an intimate look at the craftsmanship and artistry that went into creating the landmark.

Finally, you can grab some contextual shots. Including the surroundings of a landmark in our photos can provide a sense of scale and context. Capture a famous statue with people around it to show its size relative to humans. Or photograph a historic building with a modern cityscape in the background to highlight the contrast between old and new. These contextual shots help tell a more complete story about the landmark and its environment.

Share some of your favorite landmark images, and let's continue to inspire each other! 📸✨
