Sometimes I get to photograph extended families and when I do, it always makes me so happy. This time we got four generations together, all four grandkids and great grandkids for the matriarchs of the family and it sure was a special evening. We had an amazing sun, beautiful golden light and happy (and hot!) kids. Love this family, so very much.

I had my work cut out for me this morning because this adorable little blonde haired boy wasn't into the idea of photos. But, we slowly cracked the nut and by the end, we had plenty of smiles. I even surprised myself when I got them all downloaded. His big sister was just a doll though - like always. I adore her! Here are a few of my favorites!

I met this super fit mama at the gym and on my best day, I couldn't come close to keeping up with her. And still, at 8 months pregnant, the same story rings true. A former VT soccer player, an incredibly strong and kind-hearted person, this mama-to-be is as genuine as they come. I'm so excited to see them join the ranks of parenthood and know this little girl will be loved beyond all measure.

I always look forward to photographing this family. The parents have such a strong and loving relationship, which is so inspiring. The boys are just a pleasure to be around - so polite, so easy to talk to and wise beyond their years. And then we add in the dogs and I'm just in heaven. I'm fairly certain it's easier to get these 10 pairs of eyes looking at me than it is my own to children!

Being in a college town with such a transient population, it's not often that I get to photograph siblings as newborns. But when I do, it's super special. Just like this session. This boy had the most beautiful porcelain skin, a big brother who took his role very seriously, and two parents who just simply had fallen in love all over again.

I think it's fair to say we all felt the heat on Saturday. But I soon forgot about the heat when I was going through their photos and was left with an overwhelming feeling of love. The love that surrounded these two was so profound and so apparent. It was spoken in the toasts, it was shown in the hugs, and it was heard in the conversations that I overheard saying just how perfect these two are for each other. I wish these two a lifetime of happiness and thank you for allowing me to be part of your day!

It's pretty amazing what can happen when people come together to help celebrate the love of two beautiful people and that's exactly what occurred this weekend. Friends and family opened up their home to host the wedding, performed the marriage, prepared floral arrangements, made food to feed all the guests, made sure the grass was perfectly mowed, set-up chairs, decorated the site, and the list could go on. All so that these two could join in marriage in front of their loved ones. I was so honored to be able to help these two selfess, honest, compassionate and loving friends. May your marriage be long and filled with love and happiness!

She plays soccer and does yoga, she's incredibly bright and has gorgeous eyes. Caitlyn came from New York for her senior photos and we had a gorgeous morning together. Some of my favorite photos of her were when she was smiling at her boyfriend - they are such a cute couple! Oh the places you'll go, Caitlyn!
