brookepehrsonphotography I love people. I love color. I love light.Photo artist. Hello, I am Brooke Pehrson, I have been capturing memories close to 20 years. I love what I do.

I am also the Mom of 5 children and wife of Travis. They are the magic in my mind. They are the ones who bring meaning to life. My goal during your session is to capture the real you. I challenge myself to seek out real emotion through your session and then edit to that emotion. I am life long photoshopper, I take extra amounts of time making sure each photo is beautifully finished. Each photo you

choose for editing is hand painted and hand finished. Having over 20 years of experience in photoshop I have the skills to take your images from just a photo to fine art.

I’m grateful for this session for so many reasons. The fire that is taking our mountains is so devastating right now. I’m glad we got this session before everything changed! We woke up extremely early to get to this gorgeous location, we saw a gorgeous bull elk. The love captured between these two high school sweethearts are palpable. The sun was filtered by smoke but created the warmest light. Everything worked so perfectly together. I will never forget this dreamy session!!

You needed to be replenished and cleaned, I know your not going to look the same. You become my home and the place I crave. Your extending arms have sheltered the animals, your rough edges, and endless life. You’ve provided, you’ve entertained, you’ve taught me. I’ve sat with you at the beginning of days and the end of days. I’ve sat under your shade and felt the strength of your hills. When I didn’t think there was more to discover about you I found that you had more places worth existing in. It didn’t matter how many times I looked at your seven sisters and sat by your glade, found flowers in your sweet Alice and some sheds too, hiked your dark canyon, and closed my eyes through your notch, traveled your bumpy John Black road to look over the Marcy. Watched elk run through your gooseberry. Hit golf balls off of your causeway and sat and just wondered at your beauty. Watched the sunset come across your Chippean. And watch the moon settle as the sun came to expose your quiet places in your Mormon pasture. Your towering ponderous sheltered me as I slept in your crystal springs. Caught goldfish in your magical goldfish pond. Hiked your pea vine and played on your golf course. As I’ve slept in your Kigalia and laid holding my breath as elk crept around eating your grass. I’ve traveled your horse mountain and envied your open spaces. And chased ghosts in your poison. I’ve watched you turn yellow in your oak patch and red cowboy canyon live and then die again. Savored your sun hitting the layers of your Alan canyon. Cried as I listened to Johnny cash twisting around your cottonwood remember the days I you with my traveled with my grandpa. Many bears watched in the your dark greens. And the rattle snakes we won’t miss them, but our collection of your h***y toads became our favorite collection. I grew from a girl that didn’t understand your significance to a woman who treasured you so much I wanted my children to understand your splendor and be able to bask in very ounce of turn and climb. You have helped us feel free of this world and all of its expectations. A safe haven and an escape is what you provided. Home. And beyond. I pray I get to see the day you restored.

Maybe I’m not ready for the class of 26 to move on yet! I have a few more of these kids’ sessions to share.

Story time! I have the pleasure of watching Mr. Remy Whattcott grow up, and getting to know him. I know he has the biggest heart! I remind him often of a time when I got really sick, I ended up with Bell’s palsy. Half of my face wasn’t working right and Remy was so worried about me. He remembered me in his prayers every day. He prayed my face would start working haha. We had some good laughs about my face, because …. There was nothing I could do about it. He’s funny, makes us all smile, and laugh, has a great attitude about everything. Biggest heart. Talented. We really are going to miss him around here! He’s leaving soon to serve the people in an LDS mission in Mongolia and they are so lucky! I will always look up to Rem and behind you in all of your endeavors!

Probably everyone’s favorite guy!
