April 9, 2022 🌵🌞 We eloped at sunset in the mountains of Tucson with some of our closest Tucson friends. To many more sunsets, adventures, and time well spent with friends.

Last week I filmed a variety of western white pine trees in Moscow, ID. We toured greenhouses growing young trees, we made our way into the woods to see how forestry students work with the trees in the field, then we talked with a researcher who works closely with the WWP.

Even though I’ve been shown and told many times… I’m still having a pretty hard time picking out a WWP in the forest. By the end of this year, I’ll be an expert on spotting them! December show will be about Idaho’s state tree and why it’s declining. Lauren and I have a summer filled with trees this year!

Hot springs spring time! 🚲🌼

We celebrated the start of warmer weather by taking on the longest gravel bike ride either of us have done.

Here are some of the ride's most memorable moments:
* Kicked off the ride with a nail in my front tire and tube, but incredibly managed to finish the ride without a flat.
* Encountered a couple of guys who peed in front of us, then waved a shotgun at us (in a non-threatening way... if that's even possible).
* Enjoyed the rain while soaking in a blissful hot spring at our turning point.
* Saw an osprey for the very first time.
* Watched a bald eagle bully a hawk hundreds of feet above the river until the hawk dropped its fish, which the eagle then caught mid-air! 🦅🐟
