STAR WARS: THE FORSAKEN

A Star Wars What If series is still at the top of my list of projects I’d like to see one day, would be a great animated series. An idea I had for a What If is Plo Koon surviving Order 66 and going into isolation. One of my favorite Jedi, so I’d gladly accept an opportunity to see more stories with him. STAR WARS TALES OF THR JEDI - DOOKU AND QUI-GON

“You are a much wiser man than I, Qui-Gon Jinn.”

Dooku’s Tales of the Jedi arc is some of the best written storytelling in all of Star Wars animation, certainly my favorite tales arc. Seeing Dooku’s story unfold during his time as a Jedi and his fallout with the Jedi Order, and especially seeing him with his apprentice during that time, filled a void I didn’t know I needed filled in my Star Wars obsessed brain. And that specific line felt like a knife to the heart. Had to celebrate it with a poster, hope you like it, rate it 1-10!

CRIMSON DAWN: A STAR WARS STORY

It’s clear that Maul Shadow Lord is going to introduce us to Maul’s work with Dryden Vos and Crimson Dawn, and don’t get me wrong, I can’t wait for it. But with that being said, my dreams of seeing a live-action prequel/follow up story to Solo that features Maul, Dryden, and Q’ira are still very much alive, so much so that I needed to design a poster for it

Yet another creative pursuit? You betcha! I’ve been working on setting up/branding my Jason Benullo | Videos Games and Virtual Photography profile on Instagram! The plan is to use this space for anything related to the games I’m playing, inspired by a desire to use in-game photo modes to create posters/artwork. Here’s the logo I designed for it, inspired by my original design logo, just with more of a colorful/neon spin to it

Starting off right now with AC Black Flag Resynced, which is absolutely gorgeous by the way, but also got Jedi Fallen Order and Survivor on sale a few months ago, so those will be coming next! I’ve always been interested in creating through in-game photo modes, but never thought it was worth it without a solid place to share those creations. The time has come!

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Resynced is officially out and I could not be more excited about it. Black Flag is my favorite AC game only behind Odyssey, as Ancient Greece was an incredible setting for an open world RPG. But the Caribbean is a close second, and with the updated visuals it looks gorgeous. I look forward to the many hours I’ll spend mindlessly sailing the seas, swimming to isolated islands and searching for shells 😂🐚

STAR WARS MAUL SHADOW LORD: S1E1 - THE DARK REVENGE

It’s been long enough, it’s finally time to circle back and continue on with episode posters for Maul Shadow Lord. I’d like to continue along with the style above, I’m really happy with how that first poster turned out and I strive to continue with not only that quality, but also the vibrance in color. The use of color and different combinations was my favorite part of designing posters for every episode of The Clone Wars, and especially Star Wars Rebels, so I made it a point to continue to emphasize color here with this first one.

I spent the weekend hiking, river tubing, recharging for the 4th of July! For those in the US, hope you had an excellent long weekend

Yes I brought a SabersPro lightsaber with me on a hike. By the time we scaled the mountain the wind was howling and we were engulfed in clouds, perfect for a lightsaber to create some sweet glow effects. And yes, I brought the wrong blade with me on the hike, good thing I know Photoshop 😂

STAR WARS THE CLONE WARS

Some new Star Wars Celebration 2027 news! We’ve got new confirmed guests in Ashley Eckstein Matt Lanter James Arnold Taylor Matthew Wood and Ahmed Best planning to attend 💪💪💪

Clone Wars/Star Wars animation is showing up next year that’s for sure! And Ahmed Best was one of my favorite guests to listen to in SWC Japan, so I’m glad he will be back as well. Star Wars is so dang cool isn’t it?

Recently at Fan Expo Anaheim, Sam Witwer sparked even more hype for Season 2 of Star Wars Maul Shadow Lord with four simple words talking about the finale: “it is pretty epic”

Obviously this is what we hope for as fans, and given we got the definition of epic with Maul vs Vader in the finale of Season 1, I’m curious how the epicness will continue. I personally am looking forward to seeing Maul work more closely with Dryden Vos and Crimson Dawn in Season 2, and also training Devon to be his apprentice. Wonder if Maul will face any other worthy opponents in Season 2 🤔
