This weekend is the , which aims to show the natural biodiversity we can have even in areas of bigger populations! So I'll be trying to spy, photograph, and submit all kinds of flora and fauna to iNat's database. If you live in a city of any size, feel free to join! There are also specific project pages for some bigger cities, like Boston and New York.

Pictured: a cabbage white butterfly I saw last week, my first of the season! These are probably the most common butterfly people see, and a lot of folks think they're moths bc they're white. Their caterpillars feed on... Can you guess?

Surprise! The creatures and I got TWO last-minute spots for the next two weekends!!

And next Saturday, 4/18, from 11-4pm we're taking a road trip up to Manchester, NH for the ! So excited to be a part of that one for the first time.

Happy World Frog Day! Fun Frog Fact: Toads are frogs! Therefore, we should for sure celebrate them today too. How do you tell a toad from a frog, tho? If you had just asked him, he would have toad you.

Seriously, though... Toads tend to have bumpier skin, frogs will live in or near the water. But they're all frogs.
