Just the other day I was given this advice. Every time I fly abroad it seems this is protocol. And the very low bar (for us) is one of the elements that I truly believe is hurting the collective.

I don’t believe trying to be a hero to prove something should replace using street smarts.. ever. I choose not to tuck in my necklace not because I want to be a hero, but because I have scraped out a lot of fear inside of me that I used to have in my own life.

If the protocol for us traveling the world is to zip-it, I would make the argument that we are doing ourselves more harm than good. Street smarts is always important, but you can create the space you want to have as long as you have done the work on yourself for that space to be opened. Think about that.
