Afternoon light on the Golden Gate Bridge. I was disappointed to find out that the heavily weathered but iconic chains had been replaced from this location a few months prior to my visit last year. Nonetheless it was still exciting to explore San Fran for the first time.

A year ago I visited Yosemite National Park for the first time and was treated to perfect conditions when visiting Vernal Falls. If you click to see the full image you will see the double rainbow in the mist at the bottom of the falls. Truly spectacular!

Sunset over Dead Horse Point in Moab, UT. The silence, the color, the canyon's expansiveness…moments like these are why I chase the light.

Here is a photo from a late fall hike along South Fork Mineral Creek where I stumbled upon this beautiful unnamed waterfall as the sunlight peeked through in the background. The turquoise color of the water was just beautiful!

The mighty Wilson Peak, famous for being the mountain on the Coors beer can, is one of the most scenic and dramatic mountains in Colorado. Nestled in the San Juan mountain range, this mountain rises high above the Telluride valley keeping watch over historic barns such as these.

One of my favorite places for a fall hike is Kebler Pass to enjoy views such as this. Walking through Aspen groves layered with golden ferns with that crisp air feel is what fall is all about.

The Mineral Creek area of the San Juan mountains has some of the most beautiful waterfalls and turquoise colored water. I had previously only visited this spot during the summer, but late last fall I stopped by and really liked the difference in seasons as the water was just starting to ice over.

If you have never had a chance to visit Colorado during the fall, this picture sums up what it's like. This photo was taken at Kebler Pass which is home to a giant Aspen grove that is the 2nd largest living organism in the world. These colors only last about 2 weeks before the trees drop their leaves, but seeing this in person is something I highly recommend adding to your bucket list!

A foggy, fall morning at Maroon Bells. After visiting many years in a row trying to capture "peak" fall colors I finally did it this year. The conditions were excellent and the color palette was off the charts.

While photographing the fall colors in Colorado's San Juan mountains, I had to make a visit to my favorite waterfall in the state. I've been here many times, but each and every time it continues to amaze me.
