Bodie Island lighthouse in the Outer Banks North Carolina. I find lighthouses very alluring. Amazing feats of engineering built decades ago, a beacon of light for ships at sea, part of our history.

Traveling at sunset is always a great photo op. Subtle pastel colors and elegant shapes. Abstract but real. And it can tell any story you want about traveling, returning to the comfort of home, off on an adventure, visiting family or friends.

Sunset at altitude is uniquely captivating. I wanted to capture the moon setting over the rosy glow of twilight. The sunset symbolizes the end of a challenging year and the promise of a new dawn as we start in 2021. To me, the celestial moon reminds us of the vastness of the universe; we can admire the beauty of an infinite design and simultaneously stand in awe of its vastness.
