TiM-PiX Passionate photographer, ex-news shooter, and former Realtor. Now back with a Sony mirrorless, capturing wildlife. Photography has always been my passion.

During and after college, I worked as a news photographer for newspapers, magazines, and press agencies while earning my Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Bowling Green State University. For over eleven years, I served as a Still Photographer and Videographer at WBGU-TV, a PBS station in Ohio. While I loved the craft, being pulled in many directions under multiple supervisors eventually drain

ed the joy, and I realized I needed to carve my own path. That decision led me into a 30-year career as a Realtor, which was rewarding in its own way until industry changes shifted the focus away from people and passion. When I retired, I felt called back to photography—the work that had first lit me up. I came from the analog era, developing film and prints with chemistry, but now I’ve embraced digital with a Sony mirrorless camera and a long telephoto lens. My sister, Pam Riedeman, has been a wildlife photographer for years, and she inspired me to catch up. Today, I feel that spark again. My love for capturing wildlife, landscapes, and fleeting moments has been reignited, and I’m excited to share this journey through my lens. I hope my images bring you as much joy as creating them brings me.

Labor Day always lands a little differently for people who make things for a living.

Today's slower pace is a good reminder of the effort behind every finished work, including "2020-09-19 19.12.21-1-2," today's feature.

Slow it down and take some time to browse my online gallery this weekend.

Today's design reminder: one of the easiest ways to create a cohesive space is by paying attention to tone rather than theme.

A warm wood frame paired with warm wood floors, or artwork with cooler tones in a room that already leans cool, can instantly make a space feel more intentional.

Nothing has to match perfectly. Wood grains don't need to be identical, and neither do the colors throughout your room. Simply deciding whether your space feels predominantly warm or cool is a great place to start.

And don't be afraid to mix in the opposite tone here and there. A little contrast often adds the interest that makes a room feel complete.

There's a moment every collector remembers, standing in front of a work and just knowing.

"Alberta Rockies and Snow" has had that moment with a few collectors.

What's the story behind the first work of art that ever stopped you in your tracks?

There’s something truly special about this time of year—when the garden rewards all the care and patience you’ve given it. Look at this gorgeous cabbage we harvested a couple of years ago… those deep green leaves, the perfect spiral, the quiet strength of something that grew slowly and steadily right in our own backyard. Nature’s artistry never fails to amaze.

Late summer into early fall is pure magic. The air cools just enough, the colors deepen, and every corner of the garden feels alive with abundance and beauty. It’s a reminder to slow down, notice the little wonders, and celebrate the harvest—both in the soil and in life.

If this photo brings a smile to your face, you’ll love the full collection of nature-inspired images available at www.TiM-PiX.com. Come browse, find something that speaks to you, and bring a little of this seasonal beauty into your own space.

Here’s to the quiet joy of harvest season and the beauty that’s all around us.
