At tonight's Save Boynton's Forest meeting. A gopher tortoise joined the discussion 🐢

So great to see people from all over Boynton and the county standing up to protect this forest and it's animals. The developer has committed many fouls (see the website for details). A stop order was put in effect due to illegal clear cutting.

Residents here love what remains of our wildlife. Help us protect it.

Boynton Beach will be featuring a gubernatorial forum on June 29 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church. The local church leaders in the area work together to put on these forums every election cycle. Please note that you need to register to attend - this will draw massive crowds.

Did you know that Boynton has its own National Cemetery? South Florida National Cemetery, opened in 2007 on 441 just north of Boynton is the fifth national cemetery built in Florida and the 125th in the national cemetery system.

Historically, the site of South Florida National Cemetery was used as farmland, as evidenced by the historic canal systems used to irrigate the property. Portions of the site were used for cattle grazing up until the time of its purchase by the National Cemetery Administration in 2002. https://www.cem.va.gov/cems/nchp/southflorida.asp
