Welcome to Hell’s Half Acre, proudly known as the Home of the Original Indian Cowboy.
Located along the Two Medicine River in Montana, this historic rodeo was founded by the Mad Plume family. What began as a legendary horse-riding bet between brothers has grown into a celebrated community tradition.
Today, Hell's Half Acre is dedicated to honoring Native heritage, community resilience, and the legacy of the Indian Cowboy. The organization hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including adaptive rodeos for all ages, saddle bronc invitationals, youth competitions, and their signature Mother's Day Rodeo.
