Been busy this past couple of weeks shooting family sessions. Some for their Christmas cards and some just to keep up their family tradition. I especially like shooting at fun and unusual locations. This particular session was shot at the Brea Oil Museum which lent a rustic, kind of country feel. It's also reminiscent of California's early history. Do you know of a cool spot to take pictures? Photos by Andres Delfin Photography - Guys don’t have “BFF’s” they instead have “brothers”. Here’s my brother Francisco or “Frank”. My family moved to Norwalk, California in 1979. Frank was my neighbor and the very first friend that I made there. He was always kind and fun to be around and since he was a year older I looked up to him as sort of a big brother. We attended middle school and high school together and remained good friends over the years. He was the best man in my wedding and I was in his wedding too. My son’s middle name is Francisco. Last month he asked if I would join him on a beach in Coronado, in front of the famous Del Coronado hotel, while he and Maria, his lovely bride of 30 years renewed their vows. I told him I wouldn’t miss it. His two beautiful daughters were there plus a handful of dear friends. It was a perfect California day on the beach and we goofed off until sunset. You can tell from the images how much they adore each other after all these years. Best wishes to my brother and his bride.

This was my first ever father/daughter session. Dad wanted me to shoot Senior pics for her and to just include him in a couple of shots. We ended up with a beautiful set of images that tell a bigger story.

Another great family holiday portrait session accomplished. I've known this pretty lady since freshman year in high school. Found out a few years back that we lived in the same town. She and her hubby proudly served in law enforcement and are now retired. I'm so jealous. This was my first portrait session with her family and I hope it's not the last. Merry Christmas, my friend!

This is the time of year for Holiday family portraits. I've been busy since the start of October doing family portrait sessions so that my clients can use the images in their Xmas cards. I recently shot this fun group consisting of four sisters, their families, plus parents - and two dogs. I love the way they coordinated their outfits. We shot it at Yorba Regional park at sunset and had a great time. There's still time to book a Holiday session. If you miss it we can always book something in the springtime.

I shot her older sister's senior portraits a couple of years ago. Now it was little sister's turn. I asked her what theme she wanted and she said flowers and gardens. Her neighbor graciously offered her backyard garden. Then we headed to a lush sea of wildflowers and shot until the sun went down. It was the perfect summer session.
