DSP GALLERY is back!!!
After six months of being without a studio, searching for the perfect space...Amy (with her broken ankle), a couple close friends along with my step-sister's family helping with construction, sanding, painting, moving equipment and furniture...we're finally back open in our 24th year!!! It was actually a huge "storage room" with only a sub-floor, old fluorescent lights, a ton of holes everywhere LOL. But as soon as I saw it, I offered to the building owner that I'll build it myself.)
The studio is again hidden in a corporate building (so people don't drop in like it's Sears/JCPenney) at 301 Fields Lane in Brewster...right off i-684 (exit 😎. It's bigger which allowed me to custom design everything. I figured out ways to work more efficiently for you, so I was able to broaden offerings, including lowering a few of the prices as well! The studio hours are by-appointment-only and flexible.
Please please tell anyone you know who has athletes/dancers/musicians, seniors/students portraits, or those in need of corporate headshots as these are all our primary focus. Soon we will also be expanding back into other categories of photography (no, I'm not doing weddings ever again LOL!). But over the years, I've done a ton of family/child portraits, newborns, maternity, pets, model-for-a-day sessions, bo***ir, business/marketing, and more! It's finally happening!!! After 5 months of searching for a new studio space, I finally found one that checks all of the boxes! I've been doing demolition yesterday and today, new floors tomorrow, and a photo shoot tomorrow evening (studio won't be done yet but we gotta get this team off to Cooperstown with an awesome banner!!!). With the remaining details the building management still needs to do in there, I'm hoping to be rolling within a couple weeks! LOTS OF CHANGES ARE COMING! If you haven't done so yet for your team's FALL season pics, contact me ASAP as I've been hearing from more teams over the past month (and from greater distances) than ever before! 😀

Under the category of “Really???”

Was doing senior banner portraits and media day pics this evening in the cold for Brewster Varsity Flag Football. We were completing the senior banner portraits but stopped as it was just too dark. Stadium lights were supposed to be on but weren’t. I tried using my modeling light (the light inside my soft box) to act as our only source of light. As minimal as it was, I was amazed it worked. But then, five minutes into media day….the rain! 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Because my studio lights cannot get wet, we all scrambled to get everything out of the rain and under the snack bar awning. Players were leaving and thanking me for the session. I was so sad and felt terrible this happened to them. And as the last couple players were leaving…the stadium lights came on…and 2 minutes later…the rain stopped. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

REALLY???

I’m totally going to hook the team up with more pics somehow (cover a game or figure out a time to do more media day pics, or whatever). I want to! They were such a nice and fun group to work with, many of which I’ve photographed before! And I’m truly appreciative they chose me as their photographer. For now…we’re going to design AMAZING senior banners!! ❤️
