Ahhh…this one hits differently!

Tomorrow night, this amazing group of young women will take the field for their Fockey 🏑

Most, if not all, have played together since middle school and they have formed a bond that is unbreakable….and so have their parents!!

Every time they play together, you can see the way they sincerely enjoy the game, know they can count on each other, and truly look in sync as a group. They have all put in hours upon hours of practice, even when it wasn’t mandatory, just because they love the game and want to improve their skills. As a group, they help each other, cheer for each other and support each other. It’s a beautiful thing to see.

To say I will miss watching them play together is an understatement. Whatever their futures hold, I hope they all remain in touch and plan some “pick up” games like they have so many times over the years!

This beautiful senior picked a “picture perfect” setting for her Senior Session! Spring Lake has a beautiful lake that offered tons of different settings for Kaya Dana to celebrate this milestone through the images we created together! While we wait for the products she and her mom, Kimberly Dana ordered to come in, I thought I’d share some favorites from the session. Congratulations, Kaya! Have a fantastic senior year!

Office of the (yester)day!

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of working with the senior football players and cheerleaders/dancers at Freehold Township ! It was a busy, but fun session. The moms that were there helping me organize everything even got involved, and we took some great images of them with their sons. Most of us had tears in our eyes for that part! This especially hits hard because my “baby” is also a senior this year 🥹

Another 📦 and a little explanation about my family sessions 📸😊

When I meet with my families before our session, I like to get to know them all a little bit better. My belief is that people work with people they know, like and trust.

I used to walk into a session I booked online or over the phone and I hoped the family would see me with my camera and ask if I was their photographer. Doing that, most times the family members are a little shy, uneasy, or uncomfortable, especially the kiddos.

Now, I meet with them in person (or Zoom if in-person is not possible due to distance), and I get to know them. This helps to make the session run smoother and helps everyone relax a bit because we have already discussed the types of images we are working towards so everyone knows what to expect. .

One of my favorite series for kiddos, of any age, is the “As I am…” Series where I take 9 images and put them into a piece of wall art. This series is designed to showcase the person “as they are” at this time in their life. We freeze time if you will.

Meeting this little guy ahead of time worked as I would have expected. He was TOTALLY comfortable with hamming it up in front of my camera while mom and dad got ready. Mom was pleasantly surprised by this and LOVED the final product!

My client sent me this picture of the one print in her hallway with a text that says “The prints look awesome!” The other one is on the opposite wall of this hallway and I saw it in person, and she’s right, it looks awesome! I love a happy client (who has become a friend 💛)!

Yesterday, I delivered artwork to 2 clients. I loved seeing their smiles when they received them! Both promised to send pictures when they are up on their walls and I’m excited to see. 😊

#2 and #3 for this client 💕

This is the same family that ordered the black and white canvas. They also ordered these two color images in a natural wood frame.

The best part about doing an in-home consultation, and reveal/ordering session, is that I get to see where the images will be displayed. This allows me to guide my clients in ordering the correct size, or design a wall display, for the space. It also helps me to help them decide on the correct frame color and type. In this case, they had some images hanging with a natural frame color so we designed these to complement what they already had in their home.

There are three videos because the first one is a time lapse of me cutting the open the boxes so you can see how well they are wrapped.
