Kelsey reached out to me for a family session to celebrate her third son’s first year, his baptism, and their yearly vacation with her parents. She specifically asked for candid photos, and she had no idea how much she was speaking to my heart!

I always leave sessions feeling grateful, but this one stayed with me.

This family just existed in front of me. The boys wrestled, chased jellyfish, and did all the things boys usually do. I watched them all play in the water, I watched them sand surf, and I watched them in an environment where they were fully able to be exactly who they are. Kelsey was so alive in motherhood, so present, so full of love. And watching her, I recognized something I’ve felt in myself since becoming a mother, too.

This is what I long for in family photography. Not just candid photos, but the freedom to let a family simply be. To capture the chaos, the tenderness, the personalities, and the love exactly as it is.

Her parents joined us a few minutes in, bringing even more life and love to the evening.

I’m genuinely touched by this family and so grateful I got to witness a little piece of their life. 🤍

Getting to photograph this family is everything. 💛

Jenna is absolutely stunning. Every time I see her, I’m just like WOW. Motherhood and pregnancy look incredible on her.

Silas was amazing and I still can’t believe the first time I photographed them, they were waiting for him to arrive. Watching their family grow and getting to document these moments is such an honor.

They’re the kindest, coolest people, and I’m so grateful they continue to trust me with these memories. Thank you, always. 🤍

Some families just have a rhythm to them and this is one of them.

Courtney gets it. She understands the beauty of being present, soaking in the little moments, loving those precious babies, and choosing to remember life now before it slips by. She’s a photographer, mother, and all around beautiful woman ✨

These aren’t my clients this is my family! 🤍

Okay but seriously I love this family. I could sit and hang out with them for hours. Kenzie is so warm, welcoming, sweet, and hilarious. Michael is the type of man who is so proud to be a loving husband and girl dad. It should be noted he is also hilarious. Kinsley is smart, sassy, sweet, and knows what she wants! 🎀 They welcomed baby Harlow and she’s just as perfect. When you walk into their home you just know you’re home. Plus, they always feed me pizza. I cherish every session with them.

Watching them grow, change, and have each year of life documented together is so special.

Sometimes the most meaningful photos happen in the places where you do everyday life. Rainy, messy, muddy, and full of love. That is the good stuff.
