A throw back to one of my favorite games I've ever photographed.

Most of these athletes are heading into their junior year of high school now, but in these photos they were battling it out for a 13U Pop Warner championship. It was a hard fought game from start to finish, and when the final whistle blew, it ended with the kind of sportsmanship that makes youth sports so special.

These were captured with my old Canon 7D Mark II and a basic kit lens and not the most ideal weather conditions. Looking back, it reminds me that great moments matter more than expensive gear and I still couldn't be happier with how these images turned out.
