Roger Williams University has a beautifully scenic shell path running along the waterline of Mount Hope Bay. There is plenty to see, from the RWU sailing equipment at one end, to rocky shoals at the other, with views of the Mount Hope Bridge in the distance interspersed throughout. Sunrise and sunset are particularly amazing times to shoot here, with these shots all coming from a sunset shoot. I look forward to shooting many of the other scenic elements of this school’s campus in the coming years.

I recently returned from a two day visit in Mystic, Connecticut, where the Wooden Boat Show is held annually. While the weather was not exactly ideal – drizzling and cloudy – it added, in some ways, to the authenticity of a fishing village, and life at sea. I have come to this event every year for my entire life, and so capturing it through photography is a particularly special experience for me. This is a time of family bonding and appreciation of our love of boats and the sea, and has simultaneously become an excellent artistic opportunity for me.

I just spent three amazing days down in Mystic, Connecticut at historic Mystic Seaport where the show has taken place annually for the past few years. It was a fairly foggy and slightly rainy weekend, which provided great effect, but the sun did occasionally come out.
