Swipe for un-cropped. I’m having a hard time squeezing so many pixels from a medium format camera into a feed post for the gram.

Lately, I’ve been feeling the squeeze myself creatively. It’s simply unsustainable to create art and fulfill daily quotas: transforming art into content. While I don’t like to complain, I do believe in venting. The latest algorithm venture is a struggle, paired with wide-spread apathy and now visual disbelief of what our own eyes experience.

In any case, here’s a shot from the other day. I thought the monumentality of the city in the background juxtaposed with the individual absorbed in their own digital reality made this composition interesting.

We have no idea what we might be missing out on by being caught in our sticky screen traps. I know there’s an irony in adding to the consumption here with this post but at least I’m making an effort in increasing the value of what others might digest while scrolling.

With that, signing off for today. Stay creative.
