TO SET UP MY STUDIO is a ‘ritual’ I perform alone for my portrait series. I use this calm, recharging time to plan ahead, imagine the possible directions a session might take, find inspiration, and breathe before the fast pace of the photoshoot begins.

Many people believe a photoshoot is limited to the shooting time or the time behind the camera, but many other pieces complete this puzzle. Setting up is a vital step.
