Part two from our Usk, WA project with Parametrix — here’s what the deliverable set actually looks like.
1️⃣ Orthomosaic — true-color base imagery stitched from the flight, georeferenced and ready to drop straight into CAD.
2️⃣ Hillshade / topography — elevation rendered so every swale, berm, and grade break reads at a glance. That ridgeline in the northeast tells a story the flat imagery can’t.
3️⃣ Classified point cloud (elevation) — millions of returns, color-ramped by height.
4️⃣ Ground vs. surface classification — this is where LiDAR earns its keep. Bare-earth ground returns (DTM). Full surface with canopy intact (DSM). Our sensor punches through the tree cover and pulls the actual terrain out from underneath it — something photogrammetry simply can’t do in timber like this.
6️⃣ RGB point cloud — the full site in 3D, colorized.
Strip the trees, keep the ground. That’s the whole game out here. ✈️
