Getting ready is truly one of my favorite parts of a wedding day — and I’m always a little surprised when couples choose to skip it.
There is something so special about that quiet, emotional part of the morning before everything begins. The dress hanging by the window, the rings, the shoes, the perfume, the invitation suite, the final touches of makeup, the champagne glasses, the first look with your bridesmaids, the hugs from your mom, and all the little in-between moments that make the day feel real.
It’s also the perfect time for those Pinterest-board-worthy photos you’ve been saving: soft robe photos, flat lays, detail shots, bridal portraits, veil moments, and candid images with the people closest to you.
And the best part? Getting ready photos don’t have to feel rushed or staged. When there is enough time in the timeline, this part of the day can feel calm, relaxed, and genuinely fun. It gives you space to breathe, enjoy the morning, and slowly step into the feeling of becoming a bride.
These photos tell the beginning of your wedding story — the anticipation, the nerves, the excitement, and all the love surrounding you before you walk down the aisle. 👰🏻♀️💍
