Life has been extremely busy but I’d like to take a minute as I’m finishing up photos and express my sincere gratitude for the opportunity to provide photography for SASA this season.
Being able to capture the players through team photos, banners, and special moments throughout the year has been an incredibly rewarding experience. From helping with Friday Night Lights to the many small things in between that often go unnoticed, I truly appreciated the chance to contribute to the program and document the memories that make youth hockey so special. Watching these players grow in confidence, skill, and love for the game throughout the season was something I was proud to capture and share with the community.
A special thank you goes out to Adam Routhier and Kevin Smith. Both of you made my job significantly easier throughout the season. Anytime I needed something from SASA whether it was coordination, access, timing, or simply a quick answer, you were always there to help without hesitation. And on the flip side, whenever you needed something from me, whether it was bringing lights on short notice, helping with photos, banners, or anything else that came up, you knew you could count on me. That type of collaboration makes a huge difference when trying to support a busy hockey program, and I truly appreciate the trust and teamwork that developed over the season.
I also want to recognize the coaches for the tremendous support during the on-ice photo sessions and the support post photo day that I still continue to need. Organizing large groups of excited players on the ice can easily become chaotic, but the coaches stepped in and helped keep things moving smoothly.
And most importantly, thank you to the parents. Without you, SASA simply would not have a program. Youth hockey is more than just a sport, it truly becomes another family and SASA is the largest hockey community in the state of Vermont. Seeing the number of kids on the ice this year and the excitement surrounding the program really shows how large and supportive the SASA family has become. I’ve received an overwhelming number of kind emails, messages, and comments about the photos I was able to provide, and that means more to me than you probably realize. Your support and understanding that photography is not my full-time job, and that I balance it alongside my regular work and family life, never went unnoticed. The patience and encouragement from parents made the entire experience enjoyable and worthwhile.
It has been an honor to help document this season and contribute in any way I could. The memories created at the rink, whether during games, events, or photo days, are moments that these players and families will carry with them for years. I’m incredibly grateful to have played a small part in capturing those memories for the SASA community.
