Why did I choose Pink Skies as my namesake?

Since moving down here I find my favorite time of day is sunset. The colors are always so vivid and beautiful, like a water painting come to life. The last breath of daylight I’m always down to chase the sun or clouds.
Especially when my husband says he will drive. 🩷

What’s your favorite picture or pictures you’ve taken so far?

Absolutely these West Coast Sea Nettles at the Omaha Zoo in Nebraska. The color contrast just makes my heart happy. Jellyfish are such an interesting subject to shoot, their movements are almost entrancing.

I don’t usually do selfies anymore, I much prefer the other side of the lens. But I am hoping my family and friends might see my face and stop for a second lol.

What is your favorite local spot? It can be a restaurant, a cool bar, a nursery, a lake, honestly anywhere. I wanna know. I’m especially looking for places near Butler MO and even further South towards Joplin area. Heck throw in your Western Kansas ideas too.

This summer I’m focusing on getting better and doing more to find out what I don’t know and what I had no idea even needed to be a thought.

This photo was taken at Bushwacker Lake Conservation Area near Nevada MO. It has horse trails. You can bet I’ll be back.
