Where the Horizon Leads
Sometimes we don't need to see the destination to continue the journey.
There are seasons when the path ahead is clear, and others when... all we can see is the horizon.
Where the Horizon Leads was created from separate moments I've photographed over the years. Moments that never existed together, yet somehow felt as though they belonged to the same story.
A lone sailboat. A flock of birds. Calm water disappearing into an endless pastel sky.
No storm to overcome...
No destination in sight...
Only the quiet possibility of what might lie beyond the horizon.
Maybe that's one of the harder lessons in life; learning that we don't always need to know exactly where we're going before we're willing to move forward.
Sometimes, the horizon is enough.
What might be waiting beyond your horizon?
This is the newest piece in my 'Composed of Imagined Light' series ā A Place Where Photography Dreams.
Every visual element began as one of my photographs. No generative AI. Just real moments, photographed at different times and places, reimagined into something new.
Real moments. Reimagined.
I've shared the story behind the image and a look at some of the original photographs on my website. I'll put the link in the comments.
If this image or its story speaks to you, I'd love to hear why.
