Recovery after my surgery has been good. Im healing and starting to get around like normal.
But my heart has been breaking from the news of Asheville and the surrounding areas in NC. I recently moved out of asheville. I lived there for almost 10 years. I have friends still without water or power, and some have lost everything. Swannanoa, Chimney Rock, and River Arts District are devastated. And winter's approach heightens the crisis.

Its going to be years before things will reach a fragment of normalcy. And it will never be the same. This community resilience shines through. One thing I know is the community there is an incredible group of people. And they are pulling together to keep each other alive and safe.
