I took down my back to school post, which featured recent photos I've taken of youth in our community. Other posts may be altered or archived as well on my public pages in the coming days.

As a parent myself, I know the fear that surrounds the need to protect our youth from the ever-evolving world of AI, especially with recent rulings on how youth images can be used by generative AI. I have a responsibility to protect the youth I photograph. Moving forward, photos of youth will be kept off of my public pages.

I definitely will still be available to photograph folks of all ages, and examples of my work can be provided on a case-by-case basis. Folks who hire me will have full, private access to their galleries also, of course.

Not having youth photos means potentially losing clients because folks look for photos that are close to what they envision, and they will not see photos of youth in my work. I understand the risk of that. I still choose this over potentially putting a child's safety at risk. Youth safety is paramount.

Aiming to be inspired often results in photos that are just a joy to look back on. They may not be the photos that are the star of the show, yet they hold a certain unique place in my heart. These photos are sometimes from my own yard, sometimes from a mini session, sometimes from a major event, - regardless, scratching that inspirational itch as a creative is the pièce de résistance.
