This past weekend I was out and about and stopped by the sweetest vintage pop-up sale from "Picked Poppies". 🌸

As we were chatting about all the cute vintage treasures (because let's be honest... I'm always hunting for unique pieces for the studio 😅), the conversation turned to where my studio is located.

That's when they said they knew exactly where I was because of my cute window display.

Y'all. 🥹

I was absolutely tickled. There's something so special about realizing that the little details you pour your heart into are actually noticed and remembered by people in the community. Hearing that truly made my day. ❤️

But... that also reminded me of something. We're already a week into June and my window display is due for a refresh! 👀

Last time, so many of you jumped in with ideas, votes, and feedback, and you helped me create something that people are actually noticing and remembering. So naturally, I'm coming back to my favorite design team......you!!😉

This year, I know I want the display to be inspired by our beautiful Pacific Northwest beaches. 🌊

What's extra special is that each of these theme ideas is inspired by real sessions I've photographed over the years. As I was brainstorming, I found myself revisiting favorite images and noticing how many of them fit into different coastal vibes.

The winning theme will help me decide which images from those past sessions get brought back to life in the window display!

From tiny caps and gowns to big dreams and even bigger smiles, this season is all about celebrating growth, milestones, and the exciting adventures still to come.

Whether they're graduating from kindergarten, middle school, high school, or college, every achievement deserves to be recognized. Each step forward is part of a much bigger story.

✨ Senior Sunday ✨

I don't think anyone prepares you for how quickly this season arrives.

One moment, you're holding their tiny hand as they walk into kindergarten for the very first time. The next, you're standing beside a nearly grown adult, wondering where all those years went.

The late-night feedings.
The scraped knees.
The school projects spread across the kitchen table.
The sports games, music lessons, forgotten lunches, bedtime stories, proud moments, hard moments, and all the ordinary days in between.

Suddenly, you're counting down to graduation.

Senior photos aren't really about yearbook pictures.

They're about preserving a chapter that only exists for a moment.

The smile you still recognize from childhood.
The confidence they've grown into.
The personality you've watched unfold year after year.
The person they're becoming before they step into whatever comes next.

These images become more valuable with every passing year.

Because someday you'll look back and realize this wasn't the end of their childhood.

It was the beginning of the next adventure.

And you'll be grateful you paused long enough to remember exactly who they were in this season.

To all the moms navigating senior year right now, soak up the extra conversations, the rides across town, the late-night snacks in the kitchen, and even the piles of shoes by the door. These ordinary moments are about to become some of your most treasured memories.

Watching her fully step into her passion, her teaching, and her purpose has been such a beautiful thing to witness. The amount of knowledge, patience, strength, and care she brings into her classes and community is something really special.

This project was honestly such a reflection of her. Thoughtful. Grounded. Creative. Strong. Soft. Intentional.

It’s been such a pleasure working with Nature Nurture Farmacy over the last few years and having the opportunity to photograph so many of their beautiful community gatherings 🤍

There’s always something special about these evenings, but this one felt especially heartfelt. The homemade dishes, neighbors gathered side by side, shared conversations, laughter, and simply slowing down long enough to enjoy one another’s company and hear about the happenings around our neck of the woods… it felt like such a genuine reminder of what community is meant to look like ✨Grateful to have been there to witness and document these experiences.

Happy Mother’s Day 🤍

Last year was the first year I chose to offer Mother’s Day minis on Mother’s Day itself… and honestly, it changed me a little.

I went into it thinking it would simply be a sweet experience for moms wanting updated photos with their babies. What I didn’t expect was how many women showed up carrying stories I hadn’t fully considered.

Mothers whose partners were working. Military wives spending the day solo. Single moms creating joy for themselves and their children. Women walking through grief. Mothers wanting photos before time changed things again. Women who almost didn’t book because they didn’t feel fully confident in themselves or their bodies… but showed up anyway because they knew these memories mattered.

It opened my eyes to how important it is to create space for women to feel seen and celebrated exactly where they are, on this specific day. Because the truth is, not everyone’s Mother’s Day looks the same. Not everyone is being planned for, photographed, celebrated, or poured into by others.

And being trusted to hold space for these women, to document their love, their softness, their strength, and their season… truly feels like an honor every single time.

This year, I just want to give the biggest thank you to every woman and mother showing up today. Thank you for trusting me with these moments. Thank you for allowing yourselves to step into the frame, even when it feels vulnerable. Thank you for recognizing that your presence matters too.

It is genuinely my privilege to celebrate you, your story, and the many beautiful forms motherhood can take. 🤍

The studio has been full of laughter, flowers, selfies, conversations, familiar faces, and so many new ones too. It’s been such a joy getting to meet so many of you today and watch people explore downtown and simply enjoy the experience together 🌸
