Barely even a rain shower and producing a fully condensed tornado. Crazy stuff out of WI today. Great job by the OTUS project as usual capturing incredible angles.

11-11-2025 : The most amazing aurora borealis display I’ve seen on a G4 geomagnetic storm last November. Pillars danced across the sky for hours in the mid latitudes across the United States.

11-11-2025 : One from the vault. I still have so many more to share from this incredible night. The vivid pillars dancing across the sky and at one point even directly over head. Geomagnetic storms of this magnitude are such a rare and amazing event to experience. As we head more towards solar minimum I’m even more grateful I got to experience this incredible Northern Lights display.

06-22-2026 : Revisiting the incredible structure on this tornado warned storm near Akron, Colorado. This supercell would morph into multiple different shapes throughout its lifecycle producing 4 inch hail and 100+mph winds at the surface.

05-16-2026 Denison, IA : Now that the tour season is over and I’ve had a few days of recovery, I’m revisiting the stockpile of footage and photos from the season. One of my favorite nights was back in May on a local chase. An intense squall line came through late at night pumping out constant cloud to ground lightning. This was one of many bolts captured that night.

06-22-2026 A serene sunset after the storm passes near Cope, Colorado. It’s amazing how quick the sky can change from complete chaos to peace in a matter of minutes.

06-22-2026 : This supercell travelled from Kimball, NE to Cope, CO and into the night, changing shape and structure over the hours. This was as it matured near Akron, Colorado. One of the most impressive storms I’ve chased both in size and longevity.

06-22-2026 : A hail filled supercell hovers across this northern Colorado landscape near Sterling, CO. We tracked this storm for nearly 8 hours from Kimball, NE to Cope, CO as it constantly morphed into different structures.

6-22-2026 : A vivid mammatus sunset on the back side of an intense supercell. Just 30 minutes prior this area had grapefruit sized hail and over 100mph measured wind gusts.

06-22-2026 : A huge tornado warned supercell looms across the open plains of Eastern Colorado vacuuming up dirt with intense inflow winds. This storm would have a measured wind gust of 112mph in Akron, Colorado and grapefruit sized hail we’d sample after the storm passed.
