“The days are long, but the years are short.”

Four years ago. It feels like it was last week.

This is Karlyn from 2002 and this image has never stopped being one of our favorites.

What makes it so special goes beyond what you can see. Every single element in this frame was Karlyn’s idea. She chose the hat. She chose the blouse. She dragged that wooden chest across the room, placed it in front of the backdrop, and decided exactly how she wanted to sit. The clock, the pose, the whole vision... all Karlyn.

We had a stylist and several assistants standing by ready to help, but she knew exactly what she wanted.

This is what we love most about our fine art sessions. We believe the person being photographed should have as much creative input as possible. A photo shoot should be a true collaboration. When someone brings their own vision to the process, the result is something that truly belongs to them. That is exactly what Karlyn did four years ago, and it is exactly why we like this image so much.

Warmer temperatures are on the way, and that means underwater photo sessions are coming back!

These are hands down the most challenging shoots we do, but they’re also the most fun and rewarding. There’s simply nothing else like them. Every session is completely unique, unlike anything we’ve ever done above the surface.
