I’ve noticed so many new names and faces joining this corner of the internet lately, and I just wanted to pause and say a massive thank you for your support!

If you’re new here, welcome! I’m Marissa. I’m a military wife, a boy mom x2, and a documentary-style photographer passionate about capturing life in its truest form.

My path to photography wasn't linear. For years, I served as a 911 operator. That time in emergency dispatch taught me just how fleeting life can be, and it left me with a deep reverence for human connection. Now, instead of holding space over the phone, I get to freeze it forever with my camera.

I know how fast the years roll by, which is why I focus on the unscripted stuff—the real laughter, the chaotic but beautiful seasons, and the quiet milestones.

Oh, my heart. 🥹 Words cannot describe how proud I am of my sweet boy graduating from preschool! Big kindergarten adventures are just around the corner. 🎓✨

As a photographer, I couldn't resist documenting this milestone in his little blue cap and gown. While I choose to keep my kids' faces private on social media for personal reasons, I still wanted to share a glimpse of these beautiful memories and showcase a bit of what I love to do behind the lens. 🤍

It isn’t easy for a photographer to let go of the camera! I scouted the spot and directed the setup exactly how I wanted it, then handed the lens over to my mom so I could document some rare time in front of the camera with my wonderful, supportive husband. It’s a beautiful reminder that while I love telling my clients’ stories, I need to be a visible part of my own, too—especially with the man who has been my rock through every season.💛

Note: I’ll be back in the office May 10th!
