Most parents come to me thinking about their senior. Then they leave with one of their favorite family photo sessions, too. Because while senior year is a huge milestone for your graduate, it’s also a milestone for your family.

This is one of the last seasons before life begins to change. College, careers, new adventures, and a little less time under the same roof. So we make time to capture all of you.

As a bonus, you’ll have updated family photos ready for your holiday cards. But more importantly, you’ll have beautiful images that become part of your custom heirloom album, preserving this chapter exactly as it was.

I don’t photograph families very often anymore.

These days, my heart is fully invested in documenting high school seniors, but every once in a while, I make an exception.

This session was especially close to my heart.

This beautiful family belongs to my daughter’s tutor, someone who poured so much love, patience, and encouragement into Olivia over the past year.

Watching them laugh together, hug a little tighter, and simply enjoy being together was a beautiful reminder of why photographs matter.

They’re never just for today.

They’re for the years from now, when these ordinary moments become the ones you treasure most.

Thank you for everything you’ve done for our family. It was truly an honor to capture yours.

If you’ve ever dreamed of feeling like a princess for a day, Magnolia Gardens is about as close as it gets.

The Spanish moss, winding paths, blooming flowers, and dreamy light make every corner feel like something straight out of a storybook. Everywhere you turn is another perfect backdrop.

But here’s the real secret...

By the time we get to these spring sessions, my seniors have already built so much confidence in front of the camera. They know how to move, trust the process, and fully embrace the experience.

The result?

Absolute magic.

My favorite part of this entire process isn’t the photos.

It’s this.

Handing a senior their very own ME Magazine and watching them flip through pages that tell the story of who they are right now.

We live in the most photographed generation in history, yet so many of those memories never leave a screen.

That’s why these magazines mean so much to me.

They’re more than portraits. They’re a time capsule.

Filled with favorite memories, bucket lists, letters to their future selves, family notes, quotes, dreams, goals, and the stories that make them who they are in this season of life.

Years from now, these seniors won’t just remember what they looked like.

They’ll remember what they dreamed about.
What made them laugh.
Who they loved.
What they hoped for.

Because these moments deserve more than a folder on a phone.

They deserve to be held, shared, revisited, and treasured for generations.

Another day, another downtown Charleston session and honestly, it never gets old.

I love that you can walk down almost any street and instantly find beautiful corners, hidden textures, dreamy light, and five new places to create magic. Every session feels different depending on the senior, the outfits, the light, and the energy we bring into it.

The possibilities downtown are truly endless, which is exactly why it will always be one of my favorite places to shoot.
