I know. I know. It’s been quite a minute. 🙃👋🏻 But hey! And Happy New Year 2025! I couldn’t pass on the opportunity to reflect on year 2024…so here I am. While 2023 was declared my “foundation laying year” for my photography business, my 2024 started off steadily and was filled with lots of new things…even right up until the last month of the year. New opportunities, new connections, new experiences, new sessions, and new surprises. It was also a year that brought some change, as well as a major slow down. In the late summer of 2024, our family discovered we’d be expecting a new baby come March 2025. With our exciting announcement, I experienced several scares and lots of sickness in the following months. This pregnancy has been hard and also a very anxious one coming off our pregnancy loss of 2022. So I decided it was best to slow things down. And I’m not mad about it at all. I did what was best for me, my health, and my baby. I still finished out the year with bookings that I had made prior to finding out I was pregnant and I’m proud of that. Progress over perfection. I am so extremely thankful for all who supported me and my photography business in 2024. As I look to 2025, I am taking things gradually. My plan for now is to keep my books closed as I finish out the third trimester of this pregnancy and await the arrival of our new babygirl. I do not look to start accepting clients again until July 2025, *subject to change. With all that said I want to say there are soooo many amazing photographers and creatives in our area! I am honored to be one slowly creating a business of my own alongside these talented individuals. I do not see them as competitors but positive influences to all those around them as well as people with similar goals and dreams. Above all things, I value my faith and my purpose as a wife and mother first. Everything else will always come second. So here’s to hoping to get back to business come mid 2025, but until then I will be soaking up all the sweet moments with the ones I hold dear and cherishing all the memories we are currently making. Thank you for understanding and I look forward to serving my clients again when the time is right.
