A little emotional with this post, but I still can't believe how far I've come in life✨️

A little about myself...
I come from a family of immigrants- half who fled war-torn Angola for Portugal and then here in the US, and the other half who came from Mexico and worked day and night to build a better future for themselves. Hard work was instilled in me and my siblings at a very young age, and being the eldest, I watched everyone around me work so hard to provide us with more than they had growing up.

I was born and raised in the Cental Valley of California. If you ask "Where is that?", I will answer with George Lucas. I grew up in a small town that sat across the street from a dairy and almond orchard, which was both beautiful and stinky depending on the day.

I was homeschooled from 1st grade all the way till 12th, but was heavily involved in sports, theatre club, photography, and church. Once I graduated high school, I started attending community college and fell in love with this new learning experience. A few semesters off and many moons later, I graduated with my bachelor's degree in Graphic Design. During this time, I was already exploring freelance opportunities that ranged from building websites, branding, and photography sessions.

Moving across the US and starting over in Charlotte NC was probably one of the most challenging things I have ever done, and it was a huge struggle for a few years. I worked various jobs and dealt with the culture shock often.

What I didn't expect to happen was the turning point of my career and life.
I later landed a job as an inventory assistant at a local design firm that specialized in Airbnb design. It was a small 3-person team and the time, and I slowly started taking on more responsibility and learning all about the business. My work relationship with this company ended in January 2024, which is when I decided that I would start my own residential and Airbnb design studio...and that's where we're at today.

There is lots more to the story, but I am so grateful for all of the blessings in my life, the people who shaped it, and for the challenges that have made me stronger throughout the years💐

Life gives you setbacks that you later realize were a blessing in disguise🙌

This design is a reminder that not everyone you meet is honest nor do they value you, and that's absolutely okay. You can't control people and how they want to behave towards others, but you can control how you react and decide to move forward. I didn't think another designer who I looked up to and worked with for the past year would burn me and then use my designs as their own, but life happens, and I'm taking it as another learning opportunity. This isn't a petty post, but rather me venting the last of my frustrations on the the matter.

So here's the design with some revisions to the gameroom and a new design concept for the bedroom-the original was a minimal Feng shui design.
