Losing my art…

I don’t think it’s any surprise that my content has been lacking. Some recent events in the past months, juggling work, life, scheduling, I seem to have lost my touch.

Lost touch in my art, my whimsy, myself even. I look back on these images and I am reminded my deep love and connection for creating.

When Jessica reached out to me to capture these announcement photos for them I couldn’t have been more thrilled. A couple years ago I was watching this lovely couple walk down the aisle. Now I’m watching them walk into parenthood.

On the way home from this session I cried tears of joy for my friends. The battle may have been long, and it may have been hard. But it just goes to show that Gods love and gracious gifts are always around the corner. You just have to have the faith. And that’s exactly what this couple right here demonstrates, Gods faith and hope.

Beyond blessed to be able to be the one that captured these precious photos for this sweet amazing couple. I cannot wait for y’all to meet your beautiful baby girl, I equally cannot wait to see you two become the amazing parents you were always destined to be.

The love, laughter, friends, family…the outpouring emotion of Gods greatest gift to us.

The honor and gratitude I feel with each wedding I get to be a part of never waivers. I can still feel the fun and laughter echoing through these photos.

You know how sometimes you meet those certain people and everything just feels right at home? That’s how I felt during this entire session. No award silence, but conversations that flowed effortlessly. Working with this couple was truly the best.

Thanking God daily for giving me the drive and the talent that allows me to meet and work with so many new individuals!

The Little Mercies

See, this right here just goes to show that sometimes you just need to take the chance. Before stumbling across this beautiful band of talented ladies I never would have known how incredibly funny and kind this group is. However, taking the leap to ask if they would ever like to work together paid off in the end.

Not to say it was entirely easy, the weather was less than ideal and we almost had to call it all off. It wasn’t until an amazing woman I call my friend stepped in to help us out. .uptown.exchange I cannot thank you enough for letting us use your beautiful cozy space.

Appalachian beauty
Honestly I’m not sure how much better these could have gotten. The back drop, the BRIDE?!?!? I mean come on! I was over the moon when setting up Carley’s bridals when she mentioned wanting to do them some place other than their wedding venue. I think it just gives so much diversity.
