If you were to ask me where my favorite place is to catch a sunset, without hesitation my response would be Wiseman's View. The views over the gorge are awe-inspiring even in the bright sun of the mid-afternoon. However, come evening, many times you will be treated to a summer thunderstorm, and if you're lucky the clouds will clear and you can glimpse the Milky Way - No better show in North Carolina IMO :)
