My son, a friend and I went on a hike while we were out in TN this past weekend while the ladies did some shopping.

I shot this handheld (no one wanted to sit around while I faffed around with my tripod) so the flowers are a little blurry but I'm ok with that because this wasn't a photo trip, it was just a little time outdoors enjoying nature.

People want the truth!

Did it really look like that when I shot this image of the Duomo in Florence? Of course not. Scroll to see the original.

Many photographers change out the sky in their images and then act like “man, that was an epic scene! So cool be to be there to witness it. Namaste.” It drives me crazy. Just admit that the sky sucked so you changed it out. No big whoop!

My family and I just wrapped up our vacation to Italy and our highlight was our time at a farm house in Tuscany. We stayed at an “agriturismo” - a real working farm that has lodging on the property. We are so glad we chose .agriturismo for our 3 night stay! It was incredible! Carmelo and
Cristina were the most amazing hosts! We got a tour of the village of Simignano
(population: 17!) which included a 1000 (ish) year old church. They then hosted
a dinner in the courtyard featuring food, beer and wine all from the farm. At
our table was an American family from Montana, a German family and a couple
from England and we had the most interesting conversations. It was a magical
experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who is in Tuscany! ~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•

It’s not often I post photos of me, but when they’re this good, I feel like it’s my duty! 😉 Aside from loving landscape photography, I also love racing mountain bikes and playing soccer (though I sadly am no longer able to play due to knee issues). These photos were taken at a recent race I did back in December – it was REALLY cold that day, hence the extra layers of clothing. I was really impressed with the photographer’s work day, so I asked him - - that if I could post some of the pics… sorry it took me so long to get to it. As you can tell, I don’t post to IG that often, which may explain why I haven’t gained any followers in like 3 years. Oh well, what can a guy do?

Hamlet was wrong when he asked “to be or not to be”. The question should be “to crop or not to crop?” Take a peek and feel free to chime in with your preference!

This is a photo I took about 6 years ago, and it popped in my head while I was daydreaming about that trip up to Maine in 2019. I got up really early that morning, borrowed my buddy’s truck, scraped snow and ice from the windows, drove 20 minutes to the lighthouse, hiked around in the freezing cold to find a composition and landed on this one just as the sun broke the horizon. I’m so glad I got up and was able to see this amazing scene!
