A little late, but Happy Fatherās Day to my husband, Conor. ā¤ļø
From the moment we found out we were expecting Paul, you stepped into fatherhood with your whole heart. Through every appointment, every unknown, every milestone, and especially through our NICU journey, you have been the most incredible dad. Watching you become Paulās father has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.
You showed up for every long day and sleepless night, celebrated every victory no matter how small, and loved our little boy with a strength and tenderness that never wavered. You were the best NICU dad, and you continue to be the kind of father every child deservesā¦..present, patient, protective, and endlessly loving.
One of my favorite parts of this season of life has become our Sunday breakfasts together. After long weekends where one (or both) of us has been working, those Jersey Shore-style Sunday breakfasts have become our little traditionā¦..a chance to slow down, be together, and soak up these moments as a family of three.
Fatherhood is such a beautiful journey. It begins the moment you hear youāre going to be a dad and continues through every stageā¦feeling those first kicks, holding your baby for the first time, cheering from the sidelines, offering advice when itās needed (and sometimes when itās not), celebrating accomplishments big and small, and one day, walking your child down the aisle. The role evolves, but the love never changes.
Today, Iām also celebrating all the dads, stepdads, bonus dads, grandfathers, father figures, dads-to-be, and the men who show up every day with love, guidance, and support. Your impact reaches farther than you know.
Conor, thank you for being the best partner, the best father to Paul, and the heart of our little family. We love you endlessly. ā¤ļø
