September means Fall Family session time! My favorite time of year!!

I’ve got something different planned for Christmas sessions this year - Christmas at the Greenhouse. There’s limited spots so try to book soon before they are gone.

Another big announcement -

I have to cut my availability short this year because I’m having rotator cuff surgery at some point in November. Until I find out my exact surgery date I’m not accepting sessions after November 8th until the Spring.

For most of my family sessions I let the kids lead. Of course I have a plan but I've found that trying to get kids to sit and pose for pictures makes everyone miserable. So I try to make it fun. I think it helps to bring out their personalities and it captures those candid shots that are my favorite.

We do a lot of running.

We do a lot of playing.

We do some cuddling and tickling.

Just letting kids be kids.

Capturing them how they are in this moment. ❤️

Annual pictures before Chase and Tyler turn 5.

Keeping it fun by "trying not to wake the troll" under the bridge. Kisses for their momma turned into licks. Sorry Emily! I didn't see that one coming. Ending the night with skipping rocks into the lake. Love it!

Getting a break to catch up on some sessions.

I met the Crumps at this beautiful flower field in Monroe Blue Hill Garden where the girls stole the show. I love that Reagan enjoys taking pictures with me. She always has great suggestions. And Corbin...loved all her facial expressions. She's hilarious! 05.08.26

Brayden graduated from Hickory Ridge and is headed to the University of Tennessee in the fall to study finance.

There is something about senior sessions that’s different from every other session - the finality of high school and looking forward to all the excitement and possibilities of college. It takes me back to such an exciting time! 05.04.26

Bella's Senior session knocked off 2 of my photo shoot bucket list locations - a Record store and a parking deck. Woot! Woot!

First we started out at in Kannapolis. Bella loves all things music, especially Twenty One Pilots.

Bella is graduating high school AND the Early College Program at Cabarrus Health & Science so we went to that campus and the parking deck. We thought we might get rained out but it gave us a beautiful stormy sky.

Remember Mallarie and Zach from the fall? Their maternity session in the sunflower field?

This time...following this family along into their parenting journey as they welcome Clara.

I can't explain how much of a compliment it is to be asked back to capture both special events and everyday life! So honored. I know I say that a lot.
But it's true. It's the highest compliment for a photographer. That and referring up to others to become a part of their friend's families. 03.27.26
