🚨 ATTENTION 🚨

I've been pretty quiet on here. Two years ago, I lost my full time job of 7 years. I took my severance and bought my new camera. Spent a year shooting shows after an almost 10 year break. It made me happy, until I got overwhelmed. Imposter syndrome hit again and it slowed down. Bills piled up, even more, I lost two of my uncles and one of my dear friends, and overall the past year has been awful.

A month ago, I accepted a position at a full time job (after no interviews this entire time). Things aren't better, per se, but I can't deny myself of what I love doing. So I'm coming back.

Gonna post a few times a week with pics from shows I haven't posted. Better late than never.

Throwback to 2010. Probably one of my favorite line ups seeing as I went to 5 of the dates. My body's not built for that anymore, I'll tell you that. Unfortunately the rest of the photos are lost to a hard drive somewhere in my basement, I'm sure, but enjoy these ones. Maybe I'll get a chance to shoot at one of the revivals next year? 👀🤞🏼

“Hey, hey, carry on…”

One year ago today, one of my favorite bands, , played a after show at . And here are the photos that never got posted til today.

I was a month into shooting again after taking a 10 year break, and honestly, I wasn’t happy with these. I was still relearning basic settings on top of using a Sony (over Canon) for the first time. So it took me forever to sit down and go through these.

But in this past year, I’ve been able to teach myself so much, including finding my editing style, and applied that to these. I have to remind myself that photography rules aren’t black and white. Some of the best photographers I know deal with the same issues I faced with these (grain, light banding), but they still make it work.

Let this be a reminder to not be so hard on yourselves and post the damn photos 🖤
