A big thanks to Stockman for supporting local artists. I’m excited to hang one of these up at the end of the month in their new Columbia Falls branch.

It was ‘fun’ to rework these images from their original capture to clean up distortion, noise and distracting elements. Wow AI has changed the game for making these changes.

This was a simple idea years ago but a younger version of myself didn’t think much about lens distortion and wind when trying to compile these images to capture multiple layers of focus among changing conditions. I haven’t done a project like this since so it was neat to revive these images.

Should I add a basic AI girl dancing in the road? 😉

My favorite images of mountains are during winter. Yet it is the most difficult season to capture them: rare conditions, long, slow and often dangerous travel combined with short days are just some of the challenges to overcome in order to take advantage of very small and infrequent windows that allow the beauty of these places to shine. This season was no exception to these difficulties but happy to have these memories from NYE from one of my favorite spots to take in winter.
