The posed ones AND the silly ones. 🤍😂

Because a family session doesn't have to be one or the other.

I absolutely want to give you that beautiful photo where everyone is together, looking at the camera and smiling... the one you'll frame, send to grandparents, and keep for years.

But I also want the photos that feel like your family.

The funny faces. The big personalities. The kids being kids. The moments that weren't necessarily planned but somehow end up being some of your favorites. 🤍

Every family is different, so I'm always happy to follow your family's personality, whether you're more traditional, completely silly, or (like most of us 😂) somewhere in between.

I’ve been keeping a pretty big life update behind the scenes… and I can finally share it. 🤍

I’m moving back to the Czech Republic. 🇨🇿

There are so many emotions wrapped up in saying that out loud. Chicago has been my home for 11 years, it’s where I became a mom, and it’s where I built my photography business and met so many wonderful families who allowed me into some of the most meaningful moments of their lives.... Leaving is definitely bittersweet.

But this isn’t goodbye to photography at all, just a new beginning in a different place.

And Czech Republic… see you very soon.

It’s official. 🇨🇿✨

After 11 years in Chicago, I’m relocating back to the Czech Republic... and Magical Moments by Michaela is coming with me.

Chicago is where this little business grew from an idea into something I’m incredibly proud of. I’ve had the privilege of photographing growing bellies, brand-new babies, first birthdays, families growing year after year, and so many moments in between. To every family who trusted me with your memories: thank you. You’ve been such an important part of this chapter.

And now, it’s time for the next one. 🇨🇿 I can’t wait to begin photographing families, motherhood, maternity and newborn stories in Prague and beyond. Czech Republic, I’m coming home. 🤍

One of my favorite things about this location is the contrast. Historic architecture in the foreground, modern skyscrapers in the background... It feels like where the city's past and present meet, and it makes for such a timeless setting.
