This whirlwind of a week has absolutely FLOWN by, and somehow we are already here... Niki and Patrick’s WEDDING DAY! ❤️

The week began Monday afternoon at the beautiful Pella Signature in Burr Ridge, where I joined Niki and Patrick, their families, and the incredible team from Exquisite Events & Floral Design to rehearse all the moving parts of their multicultural ceremony.

And there are definitely some moving parts!
Their ceremony brings together meaningful elements of Niki’s Telugu Hindu heritage with Western wedding traditions.

Monday was about walking through it all. Today, we get to live it.

Happy Wedding Day, Niki & Patrick! I cannot wait to stand beside you as two families, two cultures, and so much love come together to celebrate the beginning of your marriage. ❤️

Some wedding days just have JOY written all over them. And three weeks later, I’m still smiling about this one. 🤍

Melissa and Brandon’s wedding at The Brix on the Fox was one of those days where you could feel how much everyone in the room was invested in the two people standing in front of them.

I loved watching Melissa and Brandon stay so completely focused on each other throughout their ceremony. I loved seeing the emotion on her dad’s face as he walked her down the aisle. And I especially loved looking out at their guests and seeing them laughing, smiling, listening and truly sharing in the moment with them.

Their ceremony also included a modern, non-religious version of the traditional Filipino Cord and Veil Ceremony, honoring Brandon’s Filipino heritage and inviting family members who mean so much to him to take part. This is exactly what I love about creating personalized wedding ceremonies. Traditions don’t have to be all or nothing. We can honor where you come from while making the ceremony authentically YOURS.

And can we talk about The Brix on the Fox?! I absolutely LOVE officiating weddings here. The space is incredible and truly a blank canvas that can become whatever a couple imagines. Even better, the owners and team make sure the couple, their guests AND their vendors are incredibly well taken care of.

And what a team Melissa and Brandon had! So many talented wedding professionals came together to make this beautiful day a reality. It is always such a joy to work alongside people who care so much about giving a couple an incredible experience.

Melissa and Brandon, it was an absolute honor to tell a little piece of your story and be the one standing with you as you finally became husband and wife. How lucky are we that we get to celebrate love like this?!

Three weeks ago, we officially kicked off Melissa and Brandon’s wedding weekend with their rehearsal at Biaggi’s... and somehow, it already feels like yesterday.

Getting there was an adventure all its own. Chicago gave us some of the worst traffic I’ve experienced in a LONG time. Air & Water Show weekend, I’m looking at you. 😅 But once we all arrived, it was so nice to finally meet Melissa and Brandon, their families, wedding party, and ceremony sponsors in person after spending so much time getting to know them while creating their ceremony.

This is one of the reasons I love an officiant-run wedding rehearsal. It gives everyone confidence. We walk through the movements, answer questions, practice the handoffs, and make sure everyone knows what to expect so that on wedding day, they can simply be present.

That was especially important as we practiced Melissa and Brandon’s Cord and Veil Ceremony, with a modern, non-religious interpretation of a traditional Filipino wedding custom honoring Brandon’s heritage. Their sponsors had a chance to practice their roles, and we made sure this meaningful tradition would flow naturally within their ceremony.

Somewhere between practicing entrances, figuring out where everyone needed to be, and sharing plenty of laughs, the wedding festivities officially began.

The next day, we headed to The Brix on the Fox to make Melissa and Brandon officially husband and wife.

And I have to admit, I LOVE weddings out that way for another reason, too. They give me the perfect excuse to turn wedding weekend into a little girls’ getaway with my lifelong best friend, her dad, and her pets. Wedding work + best friend time? Yes, please.

So, couples getting married at The Brix on the Fox... consider this my not-so-subtle hint. 😉 Please hire me to officiate your wedding. I would LOVE another reason to come back!

Next up, Melissa and Brandon’s wedding day... because that story definitely deserves its own post.

Five months ago today, Sarah and Charlie made it forever along the Chicago Riverwalk. 🤍

April 4th gave us one of those classic Chicago spring days. Gray skies, a definite chill in the air, and the city moving all around us.

But standing there with Sarah and Charlie and their parents, it felt warm in all the ways that mattered.

They had intentionally chosen an intimate Chicago elopement, giving themselves a moment that was simply about the two of them and the commitment they were making after years of building a life, a family, and a love together.

And they were completely, beautifully present with each other.

So present, in fact, that as their ceremony was wrapping up, a City Cruises brunch boat pulled in and docked right behind us. Sarah and Charlie never even noticed. The city could keep moving around them because, for those few minutes, their entire world was right there in front of them.
I still love that about this day.

It was also such a meaningful ceremony for me personally. After taking some time away, Sarah and Charlie's elopement was my first celebration back, and I couldn't have asked for a sweeter reminder of why I love this work so much.

Happy five months, Sarah and Charlie! It was truly an honor to stand beside you and pronounce you husband and wife as part of the Elope to Chicago team.

And for anyone dreaming of a Chicago elopement or intimate wedding, this day is such a beautiful reminder: your ceremony doesn't need a huge guest list to be unforgettable.

It just needs to feel like you.

On the day you make it forever, make it incredible.

Deanna & Ian are MARRIED!! 🩵

What an absolutely incredible wedding day at Offshore Rooftop on Navy Pier !

From the moment Deanna walked down the aisle, these two were completely locked in on one another. There was laughter, there were happy tears, and there were so many beautiful little moments where it felt like the family and friends surrounding them simply disappeared and it was just the two of them.

Their mothers shared a beautiful reading during the ceremony, Deanna and Ian shared the words they had written from the heart, and every part of their ceremony reflected the friendship, laughter, communication, and incredible partnership they have built together.

And can we talk about this setting?! The Chicago skyline, Lake Michigan, that gorgeous summer sky, and the stunning florals from HMR Designs created an unforgettable backdrop for their Offshore Rooftop wedding.

Giovanna and the entire Destination Wedding Planning & Design team executed every detail beautifully. A huge shoutout to the Okyne Entertainment Group™ team for making sure the ceremony audio was perfect and for the gorgeous live strings that added so much to the atmosphere. It was also such a pleasure working alongside their talented photography Judy + Gavin and videography Kyle Petit | Documentary Wedding Filmmaker + Photographer teams to capture it all.

Days like today remind me how incredibly lucky I am to do this work. I get to stand beside wonderful people like Deanna and Ian, tell their story, watch them promise forever to one another, and then have the extraordinary privilege of pronouncing them married.

Congratulations, Deanna and Ian! 💛

On the day you make it forever, make it incredible.

Today was rehearsal day at Offshore Rooftop on Navy Pier , and I honestly can't contain my excitement for tomorrow's wedding!

If you've never been to Offshore, the views of the Chicago skyline are absolutely incredible. Days like today remind me just how much I love this city and how grateful I am to call this my job.

It was such a joy finally meeting Deanna and Ian's family and friends. You can already see how deeply they're loved, and tomorrow they'll be surrounded by an incredible group of people who are so excited to celebrate them.

The music on the rooftop was definitely winning the volume battle during rehearsal, so I was giving my "outside voice" a serious workout! Tonight is all about resting my voice so it's ready for one of my favorite parts of wedding day: telling their story.

It was also wonderful working alongside Giovanna from . She's calm, organized, and such a joy to collaborate with. I know she'll have everything running seamlessly tomorrow, and I can't wait to be part of the incredible vendor team bringing Deanna and Ian's vision to life.

Tomorrow these two officially become husband and wife, and I couldn't be more excited to stand beside them for such an unforgettable moment. ❤️

Sometimes the most unforgettable weddings are the ones that don't go according to plan. ❤️

Yesterday, the rain may have moved Sam & Matt's ceremony indoors, but it never changed what mattered most. From the moment they saw each other, they were completely locked in, smiling, laughing, tearing up, and fully present with one another.

Their ceremony was one of the most personal I've had the privilege of officiating. A heartfelt reading from the friend who first encouraged them to see that their friendship could become something more. A community wishing stone ceremony where their parents and siblings surrounded them while family shared a beautiful reading, and every guest held a stone carrying a quiet wish for their future. Every moment felt uniquely them.

What made the day even more special was the incredible team of vendors who made every change feel seamless. It was such a joy working alongside Bristol of Sustainable Soirées | Chicago & Destination Wedding Planner, Abby and the team at The Monte Bello Estate, the talented musicians of Yazz Events | Chicago, IL, behind the camera capturing every detail and Anamaria Vieriu | Anamaria Vieriu Photography as the second shooter, plus Midwest Wedding Videography and Photography documenting the day on video. It truly was a dream team, and I'm so grateful to have been part of it.

Sam & Matt, thank you for trusting me to tell your story and stand with you as you promised forever. I'm so lucky to spend my days celebrating incredible couples like you.

On the day you made it forever, you truly made it incredible. 💛

The forecast kept us watching the skies all day, but somehow the rain held off just long enough for Leslie and Fernando to say, "I do." 💙

With the Chicago skyline behind them and Lake Michigan putting on quite the windy performance, they exchanged vows surrounded by their closest family and friends at Milton Lee Olive Park. Even the wind couldn't compete with the love that surrounded them.

After ten years together, building a home, raising two beautiful daughters, and creating a life side by side, today was the day they officially became husband and wife.

One of my favorite guests of the evening was Oliver, their sweet pup, who was such a good boy and happily joined in celebrating his humans. And once the ceremony was complete, the kids filled the air with bubbles, creating the perfect ending to a day filled with laughter, happy tears, and so much joy.

Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Barrientos! Thank you for allowing me to be part of such a meaningful chapter in your story. Wishing your beautiful family a lifetime of adventures, laughter, and love.

On the day you make it forever, make it incredible.

Rehearsal night is always one of my favorite parts of wedding week. 💛

Tonight I finally had the chance to meet Sam & Matt in person, along with the incredible family and friends who will be standing beside them as they say "I do" this Saturday at the beautiful Monte Bello Estate.

One of the things I love most about rehearsals is watching everyone go from wondering how the ceremony will unfold to feeling relaxed, confident, and excited for the big day. There's always laughter, lots of great questions, and by the end of the evening, everyone knows exactly where to be so they can simply be present on the wedding day.

One of the bridesmaids even told me, "You made rehearsal so much fun!" I have to admit, that might be one of my favorite compliments. Rehearsals should absolutely prepare everyone for what's ahead, but they should also be an enjoyable part of the wedding experience. They're often the first time all of the people who love a couple are gathered together in one place, and that's something worth celebrating.

It was such a pleasure working alongside Bristol of Sustainable Soirées | Chicago & Destination Wedding Planner and Abby at The Monte Bello Estate as we walked through all of the meaningful moments that will make Saturday's ceremony so special.

Now we're all crossing our fingers for beautiful weather this weekend for every couple planning an outdoor ceremony. 🌿 But no matter what the forecast decides to do, I already know one thing...

Saturday is going to be an unforgettable celebration.

I can't wait to tell Sam & Matt's love story in just two days. ❤️
