On a very cold, snowy day in December, Charlie convinced Michaela to go up to their rooftop to watch a “skyline light show” before heading out for the night (there was no skyline light show). She thought it was a little weird ,but went along with it because the sunset that night was gorgeous. Charlie proposed, she said yes, there was champagne, we took some photos, and they ended the night celebrating with family and friends at their favorite bar down the street.

Zoe and Nick’s wedding day was the definition of timeless elegance. Rooted in tradition, elevated with thoughtful details, and filled with so much love from start to finish. The day started with a traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony followed by a gorgeous reception at Hinsdale Golf Club. Garden party vibes for cocktail hour, a band that kept the dance floor packed all night, and a bride who absolutely nailed the dress change moment. Effortless, elegant, and full of energy from start to finish.

Braving a Chicago winter for this moment ❄️

Jackie said yes to Spencer on one of the coldest days of the year. They embraced the cold for a few photos before heading off to their surprise party with family and friends waiting. A truly unforgettable weekend for this couple!

As I put the finishing touches on Kristin & Chris’s wedding gallery, I realized I never shared their gorgeous fall engagement session!

A crisp fall day, a little windy, and unreal golden light that photographers dream about, it was too good not to get up on the grid.

If you’re wondering how that last photo fits in, toward the end of the session, Kristin said she had a “possibly weird request” and asked to take a quick stop at the grocery store. In their town, they’re known as the dancing couple; the kind that dances down the aisles while grocery shopping together. I couldn’t say no so off we went.

It might be fall, but I still have plenty of summer sessions to share. I first photographed Kaitlyn and Joe at their wedding in 2019 and have loved documenting their growing family over the years. This session is the perfect reminder that sometimes the best photos come from last-minute bookings, a quick location switch, and crossing your fingers the rain holds off.
