Caught the Wave - got up to over 100° that afternoon in August but what an amazing privilege it was to see this beautiful place. Also thankful for the lottery system that allows places like this to stay so pristine.

Never thought I'd be able to see the Aurora in Chicago with the naked eye - even streaks of red were clearly visible (the video is closest to how it looked in real life). What an awesome surprise.

Tomorrow - I'll be at the Old Town School's Festive Folk Craft Bazaar selling photo prints from 10am - 3pm - nothing over $50!

There will be other cool stuff from local artists - paintings, wood carvings, music-themed gifts, and more - plus lots of small business holiday shopping in the neighborhood, so stop by!

This Saturday 12/7 - stop by the Old Town School’s Festive Folk Craft Bazaar from 10am-3pm in Lincoln Square! I'll be selling some prints - great gifts for nature lovers, or just filling that long empty space on your wall you don't know what to do with.

Plus shop for unique gifts from other local artists and members of the Old Town School community—cozy winter accessories, handmade jewelry, music-themed gifts, wood carvings, homemade baked goods, and more.

For the prompt "a quiet moment", here's one from the Sky's the Limit Observatory in Twentynine Palms, California. Astrophotography requires a lot of patience but can also be an incredibly peaceful and meditative experience.

Finally caught the ! Over Chicago this was mostly only visible in photos, but catching these colors was still exciting for a first (and hopefully not last) experience.

This one is "morning routine" - a herd of makes their daily trek to the watering hole to cool of from the heat in National Park, Kenya (September 2018).
